Nylon 618 is one of the first Nylon blends developed specifically for 3D printing
Taulman Nylon 618 is one of the first Nylon blends developed specifically for 3D printing. It is a high-performing co-polymer with unique bonding, thermal uniformity, and layer to layer adhesion properties. It has characteristics similar to ABS without ABS's fumes. Nylon 618 has been developed to resist chemical degradation, resulting in high performance, durable parts for a wide range of applications. Nylon 618 from Taulman is available in its natural color and can be easily dyed to a wide range of colors using RIT dye. The resulting product is lightweight and pliable but strong, with a smooth surface, making it great for taking items directly from any Series 1 3D printer to the application of the project.
RECOMMENDED USE: Prosthesis
- 1lb Spool
- 1.75mm diameter
- Tensile Stress: 4575psi
- Modulus: 22190 psi
- Elongation at Breakage: 86.2%
Notes: A Heated bed is required for large footprint parts. Nylon 618 can absorb moisture which can reduce print quality; a desiccant box is recommend for material storage.
