Baldwin Locomotive Works built fifteen class 125 narrow gauge 2-8-2 engines for the Denver & Rio Grande railroad in the early 1900s. Nicknamed 'Mudhens' by their crews, these powerful machines were eventually reclassified as K-27s...locomotives which ushered in a new era for the growing D&RGW railroad.
