Description
The F-16 is a multi-role fighter jet with extreme capabilities as a dogfighter and able to square off with any active service jet fighter. Over 4,400 F-16 aircraft have been produced. This model accurately depicts USAF F-16C block 52 #91-0401 of the 389th FS based at Mountain Home AFB (MO) in Idaho. #91-0401 wore 13 mission markings and 4 HARM markings. The nose art, 'We'll Take it From Here,' applied in November 2001 during Operation Enduring Freedom deployment, is of a fireman at ground zero reaching for a soldier and handing off a large US flag. The art work is by TSgt. Robbie Leist and SSgt. Chad Marks.
A unique, full-color nameplate is included in this magnificently detailed model. Unlike diecast metal, finer detail can be molded in plastic, and this Easy Model 'Platinum Collectible' aircraft is sure to be a valuable addition to any 1/72 scale collection or diorama.
