This Sussex Steam Type S working Beam Engine is patterned after the Watt rotative beam engine, circa late 1700's. Engine features a James Watt design parallel motion system with single-acting piston and slide valve actuated by a cam operating on the flywheel shaft. Runs on live steam or compressed air. Built by David Neiditch of Bloomfield, NJ.
