"A COZY PLACE"
Martha Newberry of Shaker Heights, Ohio, created this inviting 12th scale (1 inch = 1 foot) Tudor period room box. Everything in the room is scratch built except for the pewter pieces, resin cast animals and glowing embers in the fireplace insert. The floor is a sheet of scored slate, and the plaster walls are made of Hydrocal. The wood pieces were turned on the MicroLux 8 x 12 Woodturners' Lathe using the #20125 Micro Turning Tool Set, which was also great for carving the frieze over the fireplace.
