Description
During the 1991 Gulf War, the Iraqi army 5th Mechanized Division attached armor blocks to the turret and hull of their T-55 tanks. Named 'Enigma' by Coalition forces, these tanks attempted the Iraqi army's sole offensive action during the Gulf War launching an attack along the Kuwaiti-Saudi border. They were quickly defeated by the U.S. 1st and 2nd Marine regiments and the few remaining Enigma tanks were sent to the United States, Great Britain, and France after the war.
The details of the Enigma have been accurately reproduced in this kit based on a thorough study of an actual vehicle. Armor blocks on the turret and hull and their attachment frames are faithfully depicted.
Includes 1 standing Iraqi army tank crew figure.
