She was the largest passenger liner of her day. While on her maiden voyage from Southampton, England to New York City, The Titanic sank on April 15, 1912, resulting in the loss of over 1,500 passengers and crew. Many of the maritime safety procedures and precautions followed today are the result of lessons learned from this tragic event.
This museum-quality kit of the RMS Titanic contains over 400 separate parts molded in 1/350 scale . . . recognized as the most popular scale for plastic model ships. The addition of an incredibly detailed sheet of fine photo-etched brass parts, including ratlines and railings, makes this magnificent kit even more impressive. When completed, the model measures almost 30 inches long, which makes it the largest, most accurate plastic model of the Titanic available anywhere. Paint and glue are not included.
