The Martin B-57 Canberra is an American built twin-jet tactical bomber and reconnaissance aircraft that entered service with the United States Air Force in 1953. The precursor to the U-2, the B-57 was retired by the USAF in 1983. However, three flight-worthy B-57's were assigned to NASA's Johnson Space Center in Houston, where they remain in service performing high-altitude scientific research, testing and communications domestically and abroad.
A Model has replicated the first U.S. jet bomber to drop missiles during combat as a detailed 1/144 scale model kit.
