Amati #1300/03 HMS Fly, Swan Class Sloop, Ship Kit, 1/64 Scale
Launched on September 14, 1776, the H.M.S. Fly was the fifth of the Swan Class of ship rigged sloop. Known for very sleek hull lines and an unusual amount of decorations, the Swan Class measured over 97 feet on the gun deck. She carried 125 officers and men.
Commissioned primarily for convoy escort and dispatch duty, she did capture a couple French privateers, before being foundered and lost off Newfoundland in 1802.
