These 53' boxcars were manufactured in the 1960s and '70s by Evans Products Company and were used primarily to haul produce, wood and paper products, or canned goods, except the tool cars that were modified for MOW service. The prototype is an insulated RBL featuring a 16 foot opening and double plug doors. 2-Rail operation.
