Central Valley Model Works 200' Parker Truss Bridge Kit, HO Scale
This 200' Parker Truss kit resembles one of several 175' pin/bar connected bridges located on the Southern Pacific Mainline, which runs east and west from Sacramento, CA, over Donner Pass, to Reno, NV. The prototypical versions of this kit were mostly erected between 1900 and 1932. Many of these steel railroad and highway bridges, alike, are no longer structurally sound and are being replaced. The model, as built from the plans, spans 28-1/4 inches. It is approximately 6-3/32 inches high and 3 inches wide. The under rail foot (step-off) is .7 inches. The parts are made from injection molded, impact grade styrene plastic. Central Valley Model Works no. 1901.
