Constructo #80836 USS Constitution Wooden Ship Kit, 1/82 Scale
In 1794, by authorizing the construction of six warships, the Congress of the United States, effectively, created the American Navy.
The U.S.S. Constitution was built in 1797 at Edmund Hartt's shipyards of Boston. Her first job was to patrol the eastern coast of the United States during the "Quasi-War" with France (1798-1800). She currently is in the Naval Museum and lies in anchor in the American navy shipyards in Boston.
Kit includes various woods, brass parts, metal anchors, belaying cleats, steering wheels and more. Also included are finished cotton sails, cotton thread for rigging, wooden stand and so much more. Beautiful step-by-step instruction book with photos and six large pages of plans make this USS Constitution kit a great build. Recommended for advanced level modelers.
