This is a brand new, 1/24th scale model of a typical coastal waterways shrimp boat appropriately named 'Rusty.' Equipped with outriggers, trawl boards, nets, cleaning benches and coolers, good old Rusty has everything you need for a successful day's catch.
The hull of this nicely detailed model features balsa planking over laser-cut poplar plywood frames and includes die-cut expanded PVC cabin and pilot house with laser-cut plywood frames. All of the material for the scaffolding, nets, outriggers and more is provided, along with a massive instruction booklet and corresponding figure set to guide you step-by-step through construction. Please note: If you are choosing to build Rusty as a running model, some of the running hardware parts for the drive line system are required early in the construction process and cannot be added after assembly is complete.
