Liquid resins that cure with ultraviolet (UV) light have been taking the maker world by storm, providing a fast, economical way to create incredibly clear, glass-like coatings, castings, jewelry pieces, object encapsulations, small lenses and so much more. UV resins can even be used to make nearly unbreakable bonds between similar and dissimilar materials. Basically, if UV light can reach the resin, it will cure.

Micro-Mark's in-house Product Development Team researched and tested a wide variety of products to determine ease-of-use, quality, reliability and more before assembling our own UV resin system. The result is an extremely user-friendly, high-quality system that will open the door to an infinite amount of projects and exploration.

Micro-Mark UV FlexCure Clear Flexible Resin and UV HardCure Clear Hard Resin require no preparation and are ready-to-use right out of the bottle. Unlike 2-part epoxy resins, there's no mixing necessary, and very low odor before curing (our UV resins are completely odor-free when cured). Additionally, our UV resins are self-leveling and self-degassing, curing to a smooth, crystal clear, glassy finish with excellent resistance to scratching, staining and yellowing. Because UV resins can only be cured by UV light, our resins have an exceptionally long work time and can be mixed with mica powder, colorants, glitter and more to obtain dazzling finishes. Once your resin is in place and you're satisfied your work is complete, simply apply UV light with our UV QuickCure Portable Resin Curing Station and in minutes your piece is fully cured and ready for use. If you decide you want to add more resin to your workpiece after it has cured, go right ahead. You can build up new layers without any trace. For ultimate versatility, you can also blend FlexCure and HardCure together in different ratios to achieve the desired hardness/flexibility for your project.

If you've worked with UV resins before, you'll find ours to be among the easiest to use, most consistent in quality and capable of producing exceptional results. If you're new to UV resins, you'll find that some trial and error experimentation and practice will be necessary to develop the proper techniques to achieving the desired outcome. Before you get started, note that pouring/applying the UV resin in thin layers (1/8" or less) and curing one layer at a time is the most efficient method. The thicker the UV resin, the more curing time you'll need under the lamp. Also, make sure to store your UV resins away from sunlight, and avoid working near windows or outdoors during daylight hours.

Impressive UV Resin

by Melissa -

I make polymer clay jewelry and accessories, and this is hands down the best UV resin I have used. It cures with such amazing clarity and is thin enough to do coats with a paint brush on uneven items. I am seriously impressed. This is my new go-to resin.
