The MicroLux^® Grit Blaster takes the concept of an industrial-type blasting chamber and reduces it to hobby size, creating one of the most useful tools in your shop. An ordinary shop vac provides the power (available separately) . . . no compressor is required. The suction of the vacuum creates a stream of air filled with the corresponding grit that is loaded into the tower that is strong enough to remove unwanted paint efficiently and safely, tarnish from metals, decals from models in seconds or to etch glassware. (Depending on abrasive used). Gentle enough to use on plastic models without damage. And since the cabinet is under vacuum, grit and debris stay inside the chamber where it belongs. Grit Blaster includes clear plastic dome with 3 nozzle ports, blasting wand, positioning arm to move/support objects during blasting, removable grit tower, and port adapter for standard 1-1/4" vacuum hoses. A small, dedicated shop vacuum is the perfect mate for the Blasting Booth as it will allow the capture of used abrasive that can be used again and again. Overall size: 16" wide x 11" deep x 15" high. Blasting chamber is 8" wide x 7" deep x 6" high. Includes a 2-pound bag of 150 grit abrasive. Other blasting medium available separately.
