Atlas Master® MP-36 Locomotive - MBTA #011, HO Scale

The 3,600 horsepower MPI (Motive Power Industries) MP-36 locomotive is one in a series of passenger locomotives produced in the company's MPXpress lineup. While there have been numerous variations produced, this new Atlas model represents the most common, the MP36PH-3C. This variation includes a separately powered Head-end Power (HEP) system which alleviates the need for high prime mover RPM to power the passenger cars' lighting and electrical systems.
