The Oseberg (Osebergskipet) was discovered in Norway in 1903 in Vestfold, Norway. Amazingly preserved, the ship was built in the late 800's and is perhaps the finest example of the sleek Viking Longboat. Commonly acknowledged to be among the finer artifacts to have survived from the Viking Era, the Oseberg was built of oak with intricate wood carvings on its bow and stern.
Billing Boat's 1/25 scale replica of the Oseberg has a wood plank-on-frame hull, includes fittings and sails; and is intended for the "experienced builder."
