Music cars, also known as organ grinders, enchanted streets throughout the 19th and early 20th Century. They consisted of an automatic pneumatic organ that could be operated mechanically and played on the go. The most common types were either the smaller German or the heftier Dutch organ. Once popular from Paris to New York City, the tradition has since dwindled — but lives on merrily in our Music Car Coin Bank.
