Great addition to model shop

by JACK -

The sander is very well preserved for storage and shipping. You will have to disassemble and thoroughly clean the machine.
The steel roller was already installed and had scored the table. Micro-Mark Customer Service immediately sent me a replacement table. They stand behind their products and have wonderful service.
When reassembling the sander, make sure to realign the table with the sanding drum as explained in the “Maintenance” section of the instructions.
I applied a thin coat of paste wax to the table to provide a smooth surface for the wood to slide on.
Even though the sander does not auto-feed the wood, it only took me two passes to get the feel for the correct speed to feed the wood.
I am very surprised at the overall hearty construction and ease of operation. This is a great addition to my model shop.

Drum Sander surprise Provides nice finish.

by Gregory

This machine weighs in at 34#. I work mostly in mahogany wood and I cut my own veneer on a large bandsaw. I needed to remove all the teeth marks on the cut material. This unassuming little guy "egger beaver" did a great job. The material I cut is in different widths to fit my needs. I build Dumas mahogany type boats currently a Dauntless boat. This machine will fit my needs. It does not seem to slow down during the sanding process it does however create a whole lot of dust. which is a good thing, the finish is out standing. SO if you are doing veneer work this is the machine for you. The motor was turning the wrong way I called Micromark service tech he was on the mark for the repair over the phone... repair... Painless.
