In January 2023, the German government announced that it would send fourteen Krauss-Maffei Leopard 2A6 third generation main battle tanks to Ukraine, later adding another four: as of March 2023, it was planned to send a total of eighteen.
The model kit recreates the Leopard 2A6 Tank with molded parts and accessories from Tamiya's #35271 1/35 Leopard 2A6 kit. This edition includes new decals depicting the Ukrainian flag, and 'the Sign of Victory" white cross army insignia, a symbol historically used by groups like the Cossacks, as well as a complementary painting guide and all-new packaging.
